In no event will we, our affiliates or our or their licensors, service providers, agents, employees, officers or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, our site, any websites linked to or from it, any content on our site or on such other websites, or any services or items obtained through our site or such other websites, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to, personal injury, pain and suffering, emotional distress, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill, loss of data, missed deadlines and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable. The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Payments & Taxes
Payment is required in full with all orders. Your credit/debit card will be debited on acceptance of your order to ensure that sufficient funds/credit are/is available in the account.
All credit/debit cards are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery, and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal.
Should a suspected error be made in billing your credit/debit card, our policy is to provide a full and immediate refund, pending further investigation by the management.
All of our prices are always fully inclusive of all global consumption and sales taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) that we may be legally obliged to apply to our customers depending on their individual physical location.
We endeavour to respond to all correspondence, including complaints, within a maximum of 48 hours from receipt. All complaints must be made in writing via email.
Should a complaint not be resolved to a client's satisfaction, we welcome arbitration from a respected and mutually agreed independent third party.
When working on your drafts, we will provide files in PDF and Microsoft Word formats. We cannot be held liable for incompatibility issues with your individual computer set-up, although we do undertake to assist as best we are able in resolving any such issues and will provide alternative, more suitable formats if we are able to do so. However, it should be noted that IT support is out of our field of expertise and if we are unable to agree upon a resolution, then the user will need to seek appropriate professional IT support at their expense. Please note; we do not create editable documents in Apple Pages, Google Docs, or any other format other than Microsoft Word.
Our standard turnaround time is two business days from the day that we receive your email questionnaire back – NOT from the day of order. We do not start work on new projects until we have received this. Providing your project is activated by 5 pm (Monday – Friday) you will be assigned a consultant on the same business day. Your consultant will email you a questionnaire within 24 hours to gather additional information for your CV Edit. We cannot be held responsible for missed application deadlines, each client is unique and the amount of time required to complete the documents to perfection varies from client to client. We do strive to complete your CV Edit within 48 hours. However, we recommend engaging our services a MINIMUM of 5 business days before application deadlines. No refunds will be given for missed deadlines.
A consultant will work with you until you are 100% happy with your final drafts with no time limit.
LinkedIn Profile Writing
This is not a service that we offer at this time.
Get That Job! UK provides professional job hunting help and support and our core service offering is via document downloads. Upon placing an order you will see a unique link to your documents onscreen and you will also be sent an email containing the same link. As this process is immediate, and you have immediate access to the information, there can be no trial or grace period after purchasing it. We are unable to offer a cooling off period, as the products cannot be returned once ordered.
The exception to this is our 'Express CV Edit' service. With this service we offer a 14 day cooling off period during which time if you change your mind and wish to cancel the service you can do so via email to email@example.com and you will receive a full refund. This does not apply if you have already returned your email questionnaire to us, as work will have begun immediately on your new CV.
If you order our GTJ! Ultimate Job Hunting Package - which includes an Express CV Edit - a 14 day cooling off period applies to the CV Edit portion of the package only - as all other elements of the package will have been sent to you via email link. In this instance if you change your mind and do not wish to proceed with the CV Edit, for whatever reason, you may cancel the order via email and you will receive a refund that is equivalent to the price of the package that you paid at the time, minus the price of the digital elements that you will have already received and been able to download.
As with any bespoke CV writing/editing service, you should expect multiple drafts and revisions before a finished product is available. To ensure satisfaction with your final documents, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Your consultant will work with you throughout the revision process until the final draft is to your satisfaction. If you are unhappy with the work by your assigned consultant, you may speak to our management team, who will endeavour to resolve the issues.
Personal Document Preferences
Our CV consultants are professional career writers, and they will complete your documents using current standards and keywords to increase your chance of being selected for an interview. CV writing is an entirely bespoke and personal service.
We totally understand that you may have your own personal preferences on the layout and content of your CV. However, these may differ from the industry standards that our writers are trained to adhere to and the extensive experience that they have in creating documents that yield success. We strongly recommend that you follow their advice and use your new CV in the format that we supply and with the content that we suggest, in order to achieve the best job-hunting results. If you change the CV significantly and subsequently return to us with it not having been effective for you, then any re-working of the document would be chargeable at the full current CV Edit rate.
Packages containing CVs are limited to a maximum of two pages. For the vast majority of professions, a CV should never exceed two pages, regardless of the amount of work experience. It is our professional advice to keep the document to this as an absolute maximum.
There are a few exceptions to this; A longer CV may be required for legal, technical, medical and academic professions, and as such, prices for editing this type of CV may be higher than those stated for our standard CV Edit package.
Our consultants work on multiple projects and with numerous clients. In order to ensure the integrity of projects, and writing 'flow' any necessary phone consultations need to be scheduled with you. For the purposes of an Express CV Edit these will usually last no longer than 15 minutes.
Should work on a CV prove to be more complex, or, for example, your career direction plans change mid way through the process, then we will need to reassess the cost of the service.
Communication with your Consultant
All communication is to be completed through email in the first instance. With the exception of any necessary phone conversations, which can sometimes be necessary as it can be easier to talk than to email. You will have a direct company email address to use with your personal consultant.
